Rules and Conditions of the Serious Cricket League at the Dummer Cricket Centre 2009 / 2010 Season

For the benefit of all users we would ask that all teams observe the rules and conditions of the Serious Cricket League stated below.

VENUE & TIMINGS

Matches will be played at the Dummer Cricket Centre, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 7pm to 10pm.

Team captains will have ‘tossed-up’ and have their teams ready to

play 10 minutes before the allotted fixture time. Each match is allocated ONE

hour, so punctuality in readiness and avoidance of time wasting during play is

essential.

If a captain or designated player is not available for the toss then the captain

of the team present may choose whether to bat or bowl.

LEAGUE DIVISIONS & FIXTURES

The competition will be run in FOUR divisions. The Premier, Division One

Division Two, Division Three. Teams will play each other at least TWICE. (Subject to an appropriate number of teams entering). Fixtures will be issued by the Serious Cricket and must be adhered to.

ENTRANCE & MATCH FEES

All clubs participating in the Serious Cricket Indoor League will need to pay an entrance fee of £30 per team which is payable on registration.

Match fees will be £30 per team per game, and teams will be sent one invoice for the league season when the fixtures are announced. This invoice can be paid in full by the first league fixture which will result in a discount of £6 per team per game, or in two part payments throughout the winter (the first of which will be due on the date of the second league fixture).

Please note: No cash will be accepted on the night, and failure to pay the invoices will result in suspension from the league.

1. Teams shall consist of six (6) players.

2. Each match shall consist of one (1) twelve (12) over innings per side.
